Braydn & Carson being bored

This is Braydn inside the tire. Him & Carson were out playing one night and decided to push each other down the street inside the tire. Carson is pushing him. Braydn tried to stop himself and the tire tipped over on him and pinned his leg under the tire until Carson could lift it off of him! No trips to the E.R. ! Thanks Goodness!!

Kelton's Famous Artwork

Our neighborhood got some new curb and gutter in September. Kelton couldn't stand the thought of fresh cement without any artwork in it, so he helped the city out. Apparently the Construction Company Owner was pretty upset over Kelton's drawings, but the mayor of Big Piney didn't think it was a big deal. We thought we might have to buy the city new cement, but we ended up not having to. The construction company fixed Kelton's art so it isn't visible anymore! We had a big discussion about getting permission before we write in other people's cement. It has become a joke now with Kelton when there is fresh cement.

This is Kelton's scooter track. (The sections of cement are 5 feet each.) This went thru 2 1/2 sections.
This was in front of his primary teacher's house. She thought it was pretty special and laughed when she seen it.

This piece was across the street in front of the Baptist Church. Thought he was pretty thoughtful. He also has his footprint in the cement a few inches to the left.

This is a view of Jackson Lake. Some of the Brian's scenery everyday.
This is another view of Jackson Lake. This one isn't as clear because we were driving down the road.

This is Brian in Kadin's Batman mask. He wore it for a few minutes driving his truck on the jobsite.
We were lucky enough for Brian to get a job with H&K Contractors in Yellowstone/Grand Teton Park this fall. He worked for 6 weeks and we got to go up and spend a couple of days with him.(Only because we had doctor's appointments in Jackson). We had a lot of fun while we were there. I took the kids to the second hand stores and shopped for our costumes for Halloween. Brian decided to be funny and put Kadin's mask on as we drove past the paver machine. They all laughed and gave him the thumbs up. I am sure they thought he was a little strange! It was fun to go to work with him and see some of the scenery he got to see everyday. People see an animal and stop in the middle of the road, not caring as to who or what is behind them. It's definately Kodak Moments that cause accidents in Yellowstone.

The snow doesn't even stop football games here! They just scrape the field off and play. This was actually practice. They had a game 3 days after it snowed!
This is how much snow we got over night. It was unusual for this much snow for October. We ended up with 12 inches of snow.

This is a picture looking West from the High School Parking lot. The pathway on the left is a walking path with the trees weighted down with the heavy snow.

We got an early snow in October. It was a freezing rain and then snow on top of it.

PUPPIES, PUPPIES EVERYWHERE!

Star finally had her puppies! She had one on Labor Day and the rest were born in the wee hours of the morning of the 8th. She had 9 puppies but we lost one. I am sure that 8 will be hard enough to keep track of when they get a little bigger. Star has 6 boys and two girls. We all think they are very cute and the kids can't wait to be able to start holding them and playing with them! This was the last puppy born. It is a boy. It has the biggest head of all the puppies.
This is one of the girls. They seemed to be lighter in color than the boys.

This is Star and the first of the puppies sleeping in between deliveries. There was 2 1/2 hours between the first puppy and the second. The rest of the there was 45 minutes to 30 minutes between. It was a very long night.

This is most of the puppies. They all sleep in a pile and don't seem to care who is sleeping on who. (Wish my kids were that way in the car!)

This is the first puppy about an hour after he was born.

This is all of the puppies. Mom went out to the bathroom so I snapped a quick shot.

First day of school

This is the first day of school. I think they were all ready to go back this year. Brody is a sophmore and loving life. He is 15 now and thinks he needs to drive when the vehicle leaves the drivway. He is playing football and staying very busy with it.
Braydn is 13 and in 8th grade. He thinks he rules the school!
Carson is 13 and is also in 8th grade. They are both very excited to be starting school this year because they get to go to Washington DC in the spring.

Kelton is still 9 and is starting 4th grade. He is very excited because his teacher this year doesn't believe in homework. (Yeah for mom!)

Ashlee is 7 and is in the 2nd grade. She is excited about school, but more excited about dance starting in a couple of weeks.

Kadin is in 1st grade this year and can't wait to be six and start loosing his teeth. He is excited that he has the same teacher that Ashlee had last year.

Father & Sons Outing

This is from the father & sons outing out ward had. Brian took all of the boys and went. They took a member of the ward with them that doesn't have any boys.
This is the truck and trailer. Braydn is standing in the doorway. Brian hates sleeping in tents, but who can blame him when you camp in bear country.
They all had a good time and said they wished it could've been longer than just overnight.

First scrimmage

This is Brody's first scrimmage game against Farson. They were playing 6 man football because Farson is so small. It was definately a different game than what they are used to. They are used to an 11 man game. It was more of a practice for Farson. They haven't had a football program in 5 or 6 years. They had fun playing and definately beat Farson hands down. Brody is #32.

Jumping off the bridge

This is the not so famous La Barge bridge that my kids love to jump off. I took the kids down to jump for Brody's birthday. They had a lot of fun. Ashlee is the one jumping in the picture and Braydn is the one in the water.

Brody's Driving

This is Brody driving. He passed his written test on the second try! LOOK OUT WORLD!!

Brody was so excited to be able to drive that I let him drive me home from Pinedale (30 miles). It was a SCARY experience.

Middle Piney

Saturday we hiked in to Middle Piney Lake. It was a short hike. We hiked about 2 miles in and the kids decided to swim in the lake once we got there. They had alot of fun, but it was kind of a cold hike on the way out.
